The
founder and principal of NSB Associates, Lawrence Field has more than three
decades of experience in the real estate development and investment business
both in New York and Southern California. Since 1968, Mr. Field has been
involved in the acquisition and development of more than $400,000,000 of
real estate in Southern California for his own account in the name of Southland
Investment Company, The Richlar Partnership and now NSB Associates.
Prior to forming NSB in 1983, Mr. Field was a partner of The Richlar Partnership, which he co-founded in 1976. He developed over one million square feet of commercial and industrial property in the west Los Angeles area, and built more than 800 single-family homes in Ventura and San Bernardino counties. Since 1983 Mr. Field has operated as NSB Associates. In mid 1965, Mr. Field relocated to Los Angeles from New York City and until 1968 managed property and represented, among others, Harry Helmsley and Loews Corporation in the management of their properties in Los Angeles. When Mr. Field gave up fee management in 1968 he had over 30 commercial buildings under his management. From 1959 to 1965 Mr. Field was the principal of a real estate brokerage company in New York City. Among other clients, he represented the Japanese government in 1964-1965 to house over 500 workers at the Japanese Pavilion during the New York World's Fair. Mr. Field is a founding director of the California Housing Council and the Business Property Council, and is a member of the Urban Land Institute, the International Council of Shopping Centers and the National Association of Industrial and Office Parks. He is a director of Boy's Town, Fraternity of Friends of the Music Center and Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, and a trustee of the Baruch College Fund. He holds a Bachelor's (B.B.A.) from The Baruch College of the City of New York and a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from New York Law School. |
